What does it mean to make a point in the great challenge “case as big as possible to do everything possible? Amazing end to the FIA World Rally Championship 2021 long challenge that you can congratulate Toyota Gazoo Racing driver three times. Sebastien Ogier wins ACI Rally Monza and completes all the points the list of objectives.
Sebastien Ogier wins the ACI Rally Monza 2021
The success story of the partnership between Sebastien Ogier and his co-driver Julien Ingrassia began back in 2005. The crew won the seven-time champion in a variety of special stages and rallies from all over the world. Next year, after 15 years, they will be heading in their own direction again. Sebastien Ogier therefore had no choice but to win the Monza Rally just like Julien Ingrassia too, despite their main rivals – another Toyota Gazoo Racing driver Elfyn Evans and his co-driver Scott Matin.
Sebastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia became eight times world champions
When the crew won the rally at the Autdtomo Nazionale Monza, they became eight times WRC Champion, what could be better! The finish was not quite reached at first and Sebastin Ogeier still had the doubts. Elfyn Evans had a clear advantage. More or less, but still it was the gap between two Toyota Yaris WRC cars. Up to the last stage – 14. Here Elfyn Evans lost time. We tried to find the reason, but were unsuccessful. One way or another, all the racing cards change and Sebastien Ogier wins the time. No matter how big the gap was, he finishes the Power Stage with a clear view – this is the finale with full eyes! He is just a racing maestro, rally magician!
Sebastien Ogier takes Toyota to victory in the manufacturers’ championship.
Toyota Gazoo Racing made the move to the Autodromo Nazionale Monza very cautiously. Hyundai Motorsport still had possibilities for manufacturers championship victory. Team Principal Jari-Matti Latvala was very nervous, but nevertheless excited about the future victory. WRC 2021 is the debut year for Latvala as team principal, the tension was in the air. Despite the stress, the whole team did their job as well as possible. Takamoto Katsuta, Kalle Rovanpera, Elfyn Evans did everything. Sebastien Ogier in his order made the huge point by finishing the Monza Rally in first place. Three in one blow! What a job, you can’t help but smile.
We are also celebrating with Toyota Gazoo Racing and heralding the new era of WRC 2022 with hybrid Rally1 cars.
