F1 Bahrain GP 2022

Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2022, who can make it back to the podium?

After the race in Bahrain, we needed a breather before moving forward with the new challenge. Saudi The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2022 offers teams and drivers the opportunity to recoup all losses at the Sakhir circuit. It is not the most suitable place for that. F1 racing started at Jeddah Corniche Circuit in the Formula 2021 season. It has a tough configuration as well as its own challenging weather conditions, adding to the call in technical terms.

Updated Friday 25 March: Holding the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2022 in the current circumstances is being discussed. During the practice session, black smoke was seen drifting into the sky as the result of a large fire at an Aramco near the Jeddah track. Formula 1 is awaiting information from Saudi Arabian authorities on the cause of an explosion at an oil refinery. Saudi Grand Prix 2022 becomes the center of worldwide attention, and full safety for spectators is essential.

Despite the concerns, Formula 1 management claims there is no safety risk. Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2022 will be held as planned.

Red Bull fixed problems to start the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix at the top.

Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez are the most interested in fighting back to the podium. You can call it the real drama. The 2022 season began with Red Bull taking a P2 and a P4 at Sakhir. Both drivers retired in the final laps. Max Verstappen was forced to pull up in the Red Bull pits and retire. The same issue caught up with team-mate Sergio Perez two laps later. The Mexican driver spun out at Turn 1 and lost all the positions he had fought for the entire race.

In the final laps of the Bahrain Grand Prix, Max Verstappen called the team radio to inform them of a battery charging problem. In fact, the problem was a lack of fuel pressure. The correct amount of fuel was in both cars, but a vacuum prevented the pumps from drawing fuel and delivering it to the engine.

Red Bull revealed the secret cards ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, pointing out that it was not the only issue. Verstappen also faced heavy steering affecting his ability to attack Leclerc in the race’s latter stages, as it told Team Principal Christian Horner. As it says, the team has already fixed problems and won’t expect a repeat in Saudi Arabia.

Red Bull is one of the fastest teams in Formula 1 2022 season. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have all chances to lead the grid.  Deplorable defeat in Bahrain, which might not have happened, means a red rag in front of both Bulls. Thus, Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2022 is the chance that a team will successfully use. Finally, Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko added they will compete for the victory at Jeddah F1 circuit.

Mercedes will be able to compete in Saudi Arabia to their full potential.

For the FIA Formula 1 management, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2021 turned into chaos, as Lewis Hamilton and Max Vertappen turned everything upside down. Therefore, the Jeddah Corniche circuit has been updated and this year’s race will be closely monitored.

Everyone wants to get the pole, especially when it comes to Mercedes drivers. In spite of the fact that Lewis Hamilton won the Saudi Arabia GP in 2021, there is no guarantee that he will repeat the feat. George Russell and Lewis Hamilton still have the fastest cars on the grid and all have a chance of recouping after the Bahrain GP. Additionally, there is no reason to hide the true potential, well, not completely. Nevertheless, if Mercedes again will be slower due to the same problems as in Bahrain, that will be a warning call.

In terms of racing, the Jeddah F1 circuit is extremely fast. Average speeds around the Jeddah Corniche Circuit are around 250km/h – quicker than those at Silverstone, and second only to Monza! The extra tough challenge is because Jeddah also features the most corners with 27. In fact, drivers pass many of them at high speeds.

What are the odds for Mercedes to get back on the podium? There are the opposite points. Either Lewis Hamilton and George Russell will pass the challenge of Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2022 on the full throw and immediately take the lead, or Mercedes will get the extra problems due to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit configuration and, pulled backwards after the top five, as a result.

Alpine drivers have to improve their top-ten status.

Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon started the F1 season 2022 very brisky. Alonso and Ocon finished Bahrain Grand Prix with two cars and both got points: 7th for Ocon and 9th for Alonso. Alpine added power when compared with F1 2021, despite the fact that it is still too early to predict anything.

Fernando Alonso is the most experienced driver on the grid. The superfast Jeddah circuit is not suitable for every racer. It is very likely that the Spaniard will finish in the top 5 at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2022 and display all his racing skills on the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.  Nevertheless, Alonso already predicted that tire abrasion would be the biggest problem in Saudi Arabia. The clear reason is again – the circuit configuration.

Moreover, if the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2022 starts, Nico Hulkenberg will have additional chances, while Aston Martin can recoup at Jeddah. It was unclear until Friday who would race alongside Lance Stroll. Whether it will be Sebastian Vettel, who tested positive for COVID, or Nico Hulkenberg? Sebastian Vettel, who missed Bahrain’s GP, feels well. However, there is not enough to start the engine. Another German driver Nico Hulkenberg again comes to help Aston Martin and replaces the #5 driver.

Haas F1, Alfa Romeo, Alpha Tauri started the Formula 1 season much better than expected. All they have to do is keep up the pace.
