The Russian race on Igora Drive was finished before the start.

The race in Russia was planned for the DTM Calendar 2022. It promised to be a huge success, as the Igora track had been preparing for over three years.  But at the end of February came the heartbreaking news about the situation in Ukraine. The world races canceled in Russian Federation: Formula 1, DTM, WTCR. Live coverage of racing championships also halted in this country.

The Igora Drive Circuit in St. Petersburg has been a very special story. Race track was the official venue for the DTM Russian round 2019, 2020, 2021, but in vain. The race had been cancelled all three times due to the increasing pandemic situation. Igora Drive is also the official race track for the Russian Formula 1 Grand Prix in 2023. Russia successfully hosted DTM races in the capital at Moscow Raceway from 2013 to 2017.

We pray for all the people in Ukraine and hope that the situation will end soon. We believe that all problems of our time can be solved peacefully.
