24H Series Calendar 2023
The start of the season is very traditional. In January, Hankook launched a doubleheader with the Hankook 24H DUBAI and the Hankook 6H ABU DHABI.
CREVENTIC, the championship’s organizer, plans to return to three of the most popular European events in 2023. Thus, besides Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain, there will be Mugello in Italy, and Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.
In addition, the 24H series returns to Monza in Italy one month later for the Hankook 12H MONZA on June 10-11. It will be for the first time, during a shortened 2020 season. The legendary racing circuit promises one of the most spectacular events on the calendar.
12H race in Portugal.
A second surprise will be a debut at the Autódromo do Estoril in Portugal. The event will feature an exploratory ‘qualifying on race’ structure. The 24H series arrives at Estoril for the first time after the two summer holidays in 2023. Featuring a one-of-a-kind race format throughout the July 7-8 weekend.
We will see a six-hour ‘qualifying race’ on Friday 7 July, preparatory to the start of the Hankook 12H ESTORIL on Saturday 8 July, in a first for the 24H SERIES. In addition to giving more track time, the 6H event will select the grid for the 12-hour endurance race the following day.
Entrants will also get half the points normally granted in CREVENTIC’s 12-hour events toward their European championship standings. The traditional three-session qualification for the 24h series will be held as usual to decide the grid for the 6H qualifying race.
The European season of the 24H series concludes with the 23rd Hankook 24H BARCELONA on September 15-16-17.
Three European races, the Hankook 12H MUGELLO, the Hankook 12H SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, and the Hankook 12H MONZA, will include an ‘overnight intervention,’ enabling drivers and team members to relax before the next day’s endurance racing action.
2023 Hankook 24H DUBAI
CREVENTIC’s main 24-hour event, originally conducted in 2006, will return for its 18th edition on January 13-14-15. With three months until the green flag lowers, about 90 entrants have already been registered. One week later, on 21-22 January, the Hankook 6H ABU DHABI will be hosted for the third year in a row.
The six-hour endurance race at Yas Marina Circuit concludes the 2022 / 2023 Middle East Trophy season.
An expanded Middle East Trophy in 2023 / 2024, with the Hankook 24H DUBAI at its center, might include up to four additional sites in the MENA area. It would conclude with the crowning of new winners in Abu Dhabi.
24H series racing monsters draw race fans from all over the world. While endurance, wit, and strategy are key, as well as the specifications of the race cars.
